The Estate
Located on the border separating the Gard and Hérault, at the gateway to the Cévennes, halfway between Plaines and Larzac, Domaine de Blancardy follows the principles of sustainable agriculture in managing its Moulès and Baucels-based vines.
The 23 Ha of vineyard are scattered over a vast limestone plain, crossed by several streams and dotted with large oak trees, lending this terroir its unique character.
The vineyard’s main asset is its diversity. A dozen grape varieties are cultivated here, alternating old vines and AOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) varieties. Slow ripening coupled with the area’s cold temperatures prolongs the fermentation process, thus giving the wine enough time to develop its full aromas and tastes.
Vinification and bottling are entirely carried out on the estate, leaving ample room for the choice of blends and the capacity of producing small cuvées.
